Introduction
A lot of agencies promise "award-winning websites." Fewer can show one client that has stayed with them for six years and keeps coming back for more. That second thing tells you much more about what it's like to work with someone.
Fhoke is a web design agency with offices in central London and Salisbury, in the south of England. It was started in Salisbury in 2008. Its team of 10–49 people designs and builds WordPress websites, Shopify and WooCommerce stores, custom Laravel web apps and brand identities. On Clutch, it lists a $10,000+ minimum and rates of $150–$199 per hour.
This one is closest to my own work of all the studios I've reviewed lately. Fhoke designs and builds websites and brands, just like I do. The difference is that it does it with a full team, custom code and bigger budgets.
Quick Answer: Should You Hire Fhoke?
Yes, if you're a UK business that wants a custom WordPress site, an online store or a web app, built properly and supported for years. If you'd rather edit your site in a no-code tool or your budget is under $10,000, it may not suit you.

How I Researched Fhoke
Disclosure: my own service is the first row in the alternatives table. Fhoke and I actually overlap here, since we both design websites and brands. The main difference is that Fhoke codes custom sites with a team, while I build in Framer or Webflow on my own.
I haven't hired Fhoke. On November 2, 2026, I read its Clutch profile and review, its about page, its Sortlist and DesignRush listings, its Trustpilot page and its Dribbble profile. It has only one Clutch review, so I also looked at Trustpilot to get a wider view.
What Is Fhoke?
Fhoke started in Salisbury in 2008 and later opened an office on Fleet Street in London. Its about page also mentions serving Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Here's how Clutch splits its work, in five equal parts:
branding (20%),
ecommerce development (20%),
UX/UI design (20%),
web design (20%),
web development (20%).
On the technical side:
WordPress for all of its CMS work,
Shopify and WooCommerce for most stores, plus BigCommerce,
Laravel for custom web apps.
Most of its clients are small businesses (60%), with midsize companies (30%) and a few large firms (10%). Fhoke says it has a track record in car dealer websites, recruitment sites, school websites and digital magazines, with clients across the UK, Europe and the US.
Its one Clutch review is from The Wow Company, an accountancy practice in Andover. Its about page also features a quote from Yukon 1000.
What Does Fhoke Do?
Service | In simple words | Example |
|---|---|---|
Brand identity | Logo, colors and style | An accountancy firm's brand refresh |
WordPress websites | Custom sites you can edit | A school website |
Online stores | Shops on Shopify or WooCommerce | A retailer selling online |
Laravel web apps | Custom software in the browser | A booking tool for a business |
UX/UI design | Planning journeys and screens | A recruitment site's job search |
Ongoing creative work | Marketing designs over time | Campaign assets for years |
The best example is The Wow Company. It hired Fhoke for a brand refresh in 2017 and then kept working with it on creative and marketing projects for six years. That's the kind of long relationship most agencies want and few achieve.
What Does Fhoke Charge?
Option | Price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
Minimum project | $10,000+ | Clutch listing |
Hourly rate | $150–$199 | Clutch listing |
WordPress website | Custom quote | Likely above the minimum |
Online store | Custom quote | Depends on products and features |
Laravel web app | Custom quote | Usually the biggest projects |
The catch to plan for
Fhoke's rates are similar to bigger London agencies, and the minimum is $10,000. That's fair for custom code, but it also means small changes later will cost hourly time too. Before you sign, ask how support works after launch and what a typical small edit costs.
A real-world scenario
Picture a family-run car dealership in Hampshire. Its website is ten years old, listings don't show well on phones, and buyers keep calling to ask what's in stock.
Fhoke has experience with car dealer websites. It could refresh the brand, design a site where buyers can filter cars by price and model on their phone, and build it in WordPress so staff can add new cars themselves. If I were that dealer, I'd ask to see another dealer site Fhoke built and how it connects to stock systems.
What Are Clients Saying About Fhoke?
On Clutch, Fhoke has a perfect 5.0 from one review. The director of The Wow Company praised its mix of creativity and speed and said it delivers what it promises on time. He also said, "I highly recommend Fhoke."
On Trustpilot, it has a TrustScore of 4.1. One reviewer said they had worked with Ben, Brett and the team over several years on brand, website and web app projects. Another said a 2023 website redesign beat their high expectations.
That's positive, but the sample is small. One Clutch review isn't enough to judge a 10–49 person agency, so ask for more references.
Can You Trust Fhoke?
Yes. It's an agency founded in 2008 with two real UK offices, a verified Clutch review and repeat clients. Its Dribbble profile has been active since 2011 too.
What I Think as a Designer
I like Fhoke's balance. It isn't only a "pretty design" studio or only a "code shop." It does branding, design and development together, which is how I think small and mid-sized businesses should buy a website.
There's one choice I'd think about carefully, though, and it's the platform. Fhoke builds on WordPress and custom code, which is powerful and flexible. I build on Framer and Webflow, which are simpler for clients to edit without a developer. Neither is wrong. If you have complex needs, like a big online store or a custom app, Fhoke's approach makes sense. If you mostly need a marketing site you can update yourself, a no-code tool may save you money over time.

Who's Behind This Review?
I'm Subarno, a self-taught designer who works solo on brands and no-code websites. I started out in Webflow development, then moved into design, so I design with the build in mind from the first sketch.
My $1,000/month retainer covers:
website design in Figma,
website builds in Framer or Webflow,
branding for smaller businesses, like logos, colors and brand guides,
small website animations and interactions,
banners, posters and social media content.
Book a free 30-minute call or send a note via my contact page. If you need a custom online store, a Laravel web app or a UK team you can meet in person, Fhoke is the better choice.
Bottom Line: Is Fhoke Worth It?
Fhoke is a UK web design agency with nearly two decades of experience in WordPress sites, online stores, web apps and branding. Its one Clutch client has stayed for six years, which says a lot about how it treats people.
The open questions are reviews and running costs. Ask for references and a clear support plan. If both look good, Fhoke is a solid pick for UK businesses that need more than a template.
